How do Fluoride Treatments Work?
During your appointment, your dentist will typically apply fluoride treatment in the form of a foam or gel inside a disposable tray. The tray will stay in your mouth for a few minutes, effectively completing the treatment. Another application method is by using a varnish directly onto the teeth.
Aftercare for fluoride treatments couldn’t be easier. You will simply be asked to refrain from eating or drinking anything for at least 30 minutes, allowing your teeth to properly absorb the fluoride.
